It's Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! How are you doing with studying Mark? I hope you are enjoying it and getting something new out of it.
Today I'm only going to post a couple comments... I really want to hear from you about what caught your attention in Mark 4.
4:1-20; 26-34 So much can get in the way of God's harvest. However, there are those seeds that are planted that really can take root and continue to quietly grow. You just never know how the Lord is going to use your story, your prayers, your caring for someone else. Never underestimate the impact you can have on someone life .... even if it doesn't come until years down the road.
4: 35-41 He never said we wouldn't have storms, just that he would be with us through them. What circumstances has God been greater than in your life? "Faith means trusting that we never face dangers alone. Knowing God is present keeps fear from paralyzing us."
I pray you have a very blessed week!

Reading Mark 4 has made me look at what am I doing to norture my garden. Am I allowing some not to even take root, what changes do I need to make to help nurture them along. I believe I have some replanting to do. It also reveals to me that the storm that I am presently going through with my son is bigger than me and that I need cast my fears and trust in the Lord and that the seeds I've planted will overpower the internal struggle my son is going through. And when I allow Jesus to carry my fears it allows for more time focused on the nurturing.
ReplyDeletesusan said...... I finally caught up to Jesus, got into the boat then the storm came! Wow, what a race, then a ride. It was nice to have Jesus explain some things in the parables to us. When I have a storm in my life I'd rather be in the boat with Jesus, reminding me once again to trust him more.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot have a testimony without a test. Storms will come. Yes they surely will come. God has often said, Laura will you sing praises on this side of the river until you get to the other side of the river? I have to remember that when the storms come I have to keep praising and worshipping until the storm is over. That is hard to do, but it is so much easier when we put this concept into action in our daily lives.
