Today is prayer request day. Maybe we will make every Friday the same. I know we all have things going on in our lives that we don't get to "see and hear" as much since we are online instead of face to face. So I really wanted to create an opportunity for us to be able to share maybe a little more personally about ourselves. It is a blog so I don't suggest getting "too" personal but if you can tell us the gist of what is going on or what you might like prayer for, that would be great. I'm hoping we can talk more personally when we actually get together soon. If you don't really have a prayer request that's fine, share a praise report. I'm hoping to see at least 11 comments since that is how many followers of Jesus we have through this blog at this point!
Remember to study Proverbs 13 & 14 for Saturday & Sunday & Mark 13 for Monday. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!!

Well I'll start since I'm asking all of you to do this... : )
ReplyDeleteFirst, I have a praise report. For those of you who don't know, my husband and I are adopting two children from Colombia. This has been an expensive process and we continue to trust and pray for the funds to come in. God has been so faithful! Yesterday, out of the blue, we received a check from some friends for this. It was such an answer to prayer and an encouragement that He hasn't forgotten us and does know our need. It was really cool!
Prayer Request: I could use prayer for some pain I'm having in my lower back and another health concern that hopefully I'll be going to the Dr about soon.
Thanks for loving me through you prayers!
I feel very blessed not to have gotten sick during this season where so many have been sick. I continue to try to be careful with my new kidney so appreciate continued prayer. Tyler was sick this week but thankfully I have not been. He is still weak but is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteSusan said: Boy I wish I had checked the blog on Friday. Anyway what a great way to do Friday. I'm still struggling with catching up on getting into the blog. My personal prayer is for my shoulder healing from tendonitis. Also, I ask for prayer for a young woman in Sudan named Yusfra and for Bex Simmerman who is ministering to her for her spiritual and physical healing.
ReplyDeleteWow! I am behind. I do not like being behind. I did not feel well on Thursday evening. Went to work on Friday. Was in bed all day Saturday and missed church on Sunday. So, here is my prayer requests. My husband and I truly love the Lord but we seem to have gotten out of balance with our life, marriage, kids, etc. Pleae pray that we will place our marriage on the fore front and really take dating serious again. We really want to model to our kids what a Chrisitan Marriage is suppose to look like and also we really want our kids to realize that Mom and Dad really do love each other. Of course our 14 year old, 12 year old and 10 year old think it is gross if we hug or give each other a quick kiss. It is funny to listen to them joke with us. Without going into alot of detail 2009 was very hard on my husband and I and the children. We had the worst financial year that a couple could experience. God's plan is always the right plan and we all need to be obedient when God tells us to do something. We love each other, we love our kids and we definitely love the Lord! God is in control thats all I have to say about that!! No pun intended! Please pray for my marriage and my kids, Ben, Faith and Jacob. Can't wait to meet all of you someday! God Bless all of you bloggers!
ReplyDeleteMy husband Charlie is working long hours at work and dealing with a lot of issues that are weighting heavy on his heart. I pray that God will provide peace for him and to guide him through this tough time. I also want him to know that he has a wife that supports and loves hime. In the past I have not always been that person.
ReplyDeleteI pray for healing for my 3 boys they are all battling on going ear infections right now.
I have been praying for months about what and how God wants me to share my gifts. The past two sermons have really touched me and I feel like God has told me what I need to do. I just need to find the how. It is going to require that I step further out of my comfort zone. I know I can do it and I feel up to the challenge. Please pray that I will follow his will and I won't let opportunities pass me by.
I am going to ask for prayer for a family I do not know but he is going through major medical problems and there is depression, guilt and terrible strain on the family especially the marriage.
Our faith in God as a family and as individuals is growing more and more everyday.
Praise God!
Glenda - can't wait to hear about what God is showing you! So excited for you!
